We are inviting experienced or aspiring directors to submit a theatre project for our 2025 autumn production, which will be staged at Theater Remise from Nov. 22 to Dec. 7, 2025

Are you keen to take on the artistic lead for a production? Would you enjoy directing actors and inspiring them to make the best of their talents? Do you perhaps have a theatre project you’ve always wanted to stage? We have some play ideas and are open to your suggestions. 

As a director you are free to cast the play as you want and to take all the artistic decisions to realise your vision. We run open auditions, with no pre-cast roles.

We will support you in all production aspects, and can also coach you if you are a first-time director. Our support includes choosing a production manager and a backstage crew: as a club with over forty years’ experience, we have built up considerable theatre know-how and have access within our extended membership to skills and resources for almost every aspect of staging a production.

Below are the key dates for the production, which will be staged at the Theater Remise in Bern:

• Auditions to be announced in July and rehearsals to start latest in August
• Theatre move-in, tech rehearsal, first rehearsals in the theatre (exact dates still to be set): Saturday, Nov 15– Thursday, Nov 20, 2025
• Dress rehearsal with school attendance: Friday, Nov 21, 2025
• Production run 1^st week: Saturday, Nov 22 – Sunday, Nov 23, 2025
• Production run 2^nd week: Thursday, Nov 27 – Sunday, Nov 30, 2025
• Production run 3^rd week: Thursday, Dec 4 – Sunday, Dec 7, 2025
