Synopsis

A dinner is taking place in the home of the Birlings to celebrate the engagement of daughter Sheila to Gerald Croft. The maid announces that an inspector is calling about the tragic suicide of a young woman. As the inspector questions each member of the party it turns out bit by bit that each one of them knew the young woman and in some way or other contributed to her tragic downfall.
